Walmart, Accenture, and Point72 Leaders to Reveal How AI is Reshaping the Workforce at NYC Leadership Breakfast
Girls With Impact’s Annual Leadership Breakfast will convene 250+ executives at The Yale Club to address how AI is transforming talent, leadership and organizational growth.
NEW YORK; October, 2026— As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms how businesses operate, companies face an equally urgent challenge: how to transform their workforce alongside their technology.
On October 15, Girls With Impact (GWI) will convene more than 250 executives, transformation leaders, CHROs, talent leaders and business leaders at The Yale Club in New York City for a dynamic breakfast meeting: Reimagining Your Workforce: Talent, Leadership, and Organizations in the AI Age.
The GWI Leadership Breakfast will feature senior leaders from Walmart, Accenture, and Point72 for a timely conversation about how AI is reshaping jobs, skills, talent development and leadership, and what organizations must do now to build the workforce they will need for the future.
“AI is changing not only how work gets done, but how people learn, develop, and become leaders,” said Jennifer Openshaw, Founder and CEO of Girls With Impact, who will moderate the discussion. “Companies are investing billions in technology, but the organizations that thrive will also need to invest in their people. We want to move the conversation beyond AI adoption to the very real questions leaders face about talent, growth and building the next generation of their workforce.”
Three Perspectives on a Workforce in Transformation
The event will bring together leaders working at the intersection of people, technology, talent and business transformation.
Brittny Cantor, Global Agentic Commerce Lead for OpenAI Business Group at Accenture, will offer a view from the front lines of enterprise AI transformation. Cantor leads work around agentic commerce, including AI Merchant Center, as businesses explore how AI agents are changing the ways consumers discover, evaluate and purchase products.
As part of the morning’s panel discussion, Michael Ehret, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Walmart International, will bring the perspective of one of the world’s largest employers. Walmart describes its approach as “people-led, tech-powered” and has expanded opportunities for employees to develop AI skills as the company integrates new technologies across its business. Ehret will address a question facing organizations of every size: how can companies use AI to drive innovation and growth while continuing to put people at the center?
Jaimi Goodfriend, Head of Investment Professional Development and Director of the Point72 Academy, will join the panel and bring a recruiting and talent-development lens to the discussion, exploring how companies can identify, train and accelerate emerging professionals when the skills and traditional career pathways that once defined early-career development are changing.
Among the questions we will explore: What business transformation are they undertaking with AI? How must recruiting and training evolve as AI transforms work? What happens to early-career development when technology performs more of the work traditionally assigned to new employees? How should managers prepare to lead AI-enabled teams? And which distinctly human skills will become even more valuable as technology advances?
Bringing Business Leaders Together
More than 250 leaders are expected to participate in the Forum, including executive teams, transformation leaders, CHROs, talent and HR executives, and leaders responsible for organizational and business growth.
The event is supported by leading companies including Eagle Point Credit, Invisible, TD Securities, Dyson, Henkel, Cigna, Franklin Templeton, Heidrick & Struggles and J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Additional sponsorship opportunities remain available.
The Forum will also recognize individuals and organizations helping create opportunity for the next generation. GWI will present its NextGen Impact Award to an outstanding GWI alum who is translating opportunity into action and continuing to champion the organization’s mission, as well as its Corporate Impact Award to a partner company demonstrating a commitment to advancing the next generation of talent. Recipients will be announced at the event.
Preparing the Next Generation for What Comes Next
For GWI, the discussion is closely connected to the organization’s mission of preparing young women to enter and lead in a rapidly changing workplace.
GWI equips young women ages 14 to 24 with business, leadership, career-readiness and other critical skills through live instruction and mentorship. As AI changes the nature of entry-level work and the skills employers value, the organization is focused on ensuring young people are prepared not simply for their first job, but for careers that will continue to evolve.
Reimagining Your Workforce: Talent, Leadership, and Organizations in the AI Age will take place Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 8:30–10:00 a.m. at The Yale Club in New York City. A full breakfast will be served. Limited tickets and tables are available here.
