Full-Time Positions

  • Marketing Manager

    The Role
    The Marketing Manager will lead GWI’s brand storytelling, campaigns, and digital engagement across all platforms to grow our reach, student recruitment, and event/donor engagement. Reporting to the President & COO, this person will oversee marketing planning, creative execution, and communications for our programs and events. 

    This is a role for a hands-on creator and strategist who can manage campaigns from concept to completion – designing assets, writing copy, and analyzing results – all while keeping GWI’s mission and voice front and center.

    What You Bring

    3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital media, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

    Proven ability to manage end-to-end campaigns and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong design, writing, and storytelling skills — with professional experience managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and using marketing and creative tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, and video or content editing software.

    Experience with donation and event platforms like Givebutter or Classy, and proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) or similar business tools.

    Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms (preferred).

    Based in the NYC/Fairfield County, CT area and able to attend in-person events and meetings as part of the role.

    Strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

    Status & Location

    Full-time, remote within (or in local commuting distance of) the NYC / Fairfield County, CT area. The role requires occasional in-person support for events and meetings.

    Reports to: President, COO

    Salary: $55,000–$70,000 (based on experience)

Part-Time Positions

  • Girls With Impact Instructor

    Description: Host business and leadership classes weekly to a cohort of 30, 14-24 year old students. Empower the next generation of female leaders to impact the community and their own success.

    Profile: MBA or similar masters, ages 30-65, current or past business/corporate experience, high energy passionate

    Commitment: 6 hours a week, min. 1 year

    Pay: $900-$1100 per cohort

GWI Internship Program

Girls With Impact offers a dynamic internship experience for emerging professionals looking to gain meaningful experience in nonprofit management, youth programming, and community engagement. Interns work directly with staff leads across our departments to build real-world skills while contributing to impactful work that empowers the next generation of young women leaders.

All internships are remote-first with opportunities for in-person engagement and event participation. While unpaid, all interns receive mentorship, professional development support, and reimbursements for approved travel expenses. Minimum commitment: 5–10 hours per week for one academic term (fall, spring, or summer)

  • Fall: September 1 - December 12 (Applications Closed for Fall 2025)

  • Spring: January 12 - May 8

  • Summer: May 18 - August 21

Marketing Internships

  • Location preference: NY, CT, NJ, or MA (must be open to limited, reimbursed in-person travel)

    About the Role:
    As a Community Engagement Intern, you will support the outreach and recruitment efforts of our programs team, helping us connect with schools, nonprofits, and youth organizations across the Tri-State area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, grassroots engagement, and event-based work.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Assist with research, outreach, and scheduling of school and community-based partner meetings

    • Represent GWI at regional recruitment events (travel reimbursed)

    • Track outreach metrics and help maintain CRM/contact records

    • Support community-based marketing and visibility campaigns

    • Assist with program-related logistics and event follow-up

  • Location preference: United States (EST or CST strongly preferred)

    About the Role:
    As a Student Engagement Intern, you will help drive connection, community, and belonging among our active and alumni students. Working alongside our Student Engagement Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the GWI student experience—from event logistics to peer network growth.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Support monthly virtual student events and post-event follow-up

    • Contribute to newsletter, alumni highlights, and digital engagement efforts

    • Track student engagement data and feedback for program improvements

    • Assist in outreach for student ambassador and alumni opportunities

    • Brainstorm new ideas to increase participation, community, and belonging

  • Location preference: United States (EST or CST strongly preferred)

    About the Role:
    As a SheLeads & Mentorship Intern, you’ll help drive two of our most community-centered programs: student-led SheLeads Clubs and our Empower Hour & Impact Pathways mentorship offerings. You’ll work alongside the Program Manager to help grow our network of mentors and club partners, and strengthen the experience for students in both initiatives.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Assist with mentor recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling

    • Conduct research to identify and engage potential club partners

    • Maintain and update resource libraries and session tools

    • Support club leader onboarding and tracking engagement

    • Help gather feedback and stories to inform program enhancements

  • Location Preference: Remote with preference for Tri-State area for occasional in-person support
    Ideal for: Content creators, video editors, social media enthusiasts

    About the Role:
    As a Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll focus on TikTok and short-form video strategy to grow our brand presence and drive awareness of our programs. You’ll produce scroll-stopping content, ride trends, and help shape the voice of GWI for a Gen Z audience.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Create engaging TikTok and Reels videos aligned with current trends and GWI’s mission

    • Assist in editing, captioning, and scheduling posts using tools like CapCut and Later

    • Research Gen Z content trends, creators, and platforms to inform strategy

    • Track performance analytics and report on engagement metrics

    • Represent GWI at live tabling events with a goal of 100+ student sign-ups per event period

    • Collaborate with the Marketing & Programs teams to align brand messaging

    What You’ll Learn:

    • How to build, measure, and optimize a TikTok strategy for a national nonprofit

    • How to adapt brand voice across social channels for different audiences

    • Best practices in digital storytelling, content batching, and trend mapping

    Ideal for: Designers, content planners, emerging marketers with a love for storytelling and social impact

    About the Role:
    As a Social Media & Events Intern, you’ll bring GWI’s brand to life across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. You’ll help plan and support virtual and in-person events while creating on-brand graphics, captions, and promotional assets.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Design branded graphics in Canva for events, posts, and campaigns

    • Draft captions and social copy that align with GWI’s tone and goals

    • Curate content that resonates with young women and mission-driven audiences

    • Assist with pre-event promotion and day-of social media coverage

    • Participate in team brainstorms and contribute fresh campaign ideas

    What You’ll Learn:

    • How to execute cohesive content calendars across multiple platforms

    • How to support real-time storytelling during events and campaigns

    • Graphic design and social copywriting fundamentals in a nonprofit setting

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Later, or similar platforms

Development Internships

Program Internships

  • Location Preference: Remote (EST/CST preferred)
    Ideal for: Emerging professionals interested in marketing, business development, sales, or nonprofit partnerships

    About the Role:

    As a Partnerships Intern, you’ll support the growth and engagement of GWI’s corporate and community partner network. From conducting research and sending outreach to managing testimonials and helping plan events, this role gives you a front-row seat to what it takes to build strategic relationships in a mission-driven organization.

    You’ll work closely with the Partnerships Team to help us expand our reach and strengthen collaborations that drive impact for the next generation of young women leaders.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Conduct research to identify prospective corporate, university, and community partners

    • Support segmentation and organization of outreach lists

    • Assist in drafting pitch emails and tracking outreach in internal systems

    • Coordinate collection of partner testimonials and stories

    • Help manage our quote/testimonial database

    • Support preparation for special events, campaigns, and activations

    What You’ll Learn:

    • Real-world partnership development, from research to outreach to relationship management

    • Strategic communication and marketing in a nonprofit context

    • CRM and record-keeping best practices for partnerships

    Event coordination and cross-functional teamwork

    About the Role:

    As a Development Intern, you’ll work closely with Girls With Impact’s COO to support fundraising initiatives that fuel our mission. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate fundraising, donor relations, event planning, and grant development within a fast-growing nonprofit.

    You’ll gain exposure to high-level development strategy while assisting with day-to-day tasks that keep our fundraising and partnership efforts running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn how nonprofits secure funding and build relationships with corporate, foundation, and individual donors.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Assist with research and prospecting of potential corporate sponsors and funding partners

    • Support preparation of pitch decks, donor materials, and sponsorship proposals

    • Help track donor communications, contributions, and engagement in internal systems

    • Assist with event planning and logistics for fundraising events and partner activations

    • Contribute to grant development by researching opportunities, collecting data, and drafting supporting materials

    • Organize and maintain development records, reports, and tracking documents
