PRESS RELEASE
October 14, 2025
Greenwich, CT – Girls With Impact (GWI), the leading business and leadership training program for young women entering the workforce, today announced the addition of Luani Alvarado, Chief People Officer of Kenvue—the makers of Neutrogena ®, Listerine ® and BAND-AID ® Brand—and Loren Castle, Founder & CEO of Sweet Loren’s, to its Board of Directors.
GWI is working to reduce the 50-year time frame until women are equally represented in business (McKinsey) and help young women overcome the lack of confidence, skills and networks that are essential to success in business.
“Luani and Loren bring exceptional commitment, energy, and expertise to helping GWI scale its reach and level the playing field for women in business,” said GWI’s Chairman & Founder, Jennifer Openshaw. “Together, we’re making sure every young woman has a chance to reach her potential while building a strong talent pipeline for our communities and America’s future.”
The new Board members will provide counsel to the non-profit as it accelerates its growth from having prepared nearly 20,000 young women for the business world to more than 50,000 by 2030.
The additional Board members are:
Luani Alvarado, Chief People Officer, Kenvue. Summit, New Jersey.
Alvarado is committed to creating a high-performing culture by fostering an environment where every Kenvuer has an important role to play and can be at their best.

“GWI creates opportunity and instills confidence for those who are early in their career, a phase of life where possibility and potential intersect most," said Alvarado. "I have seen the power of this exceptional organization when my own daughter went through GWI’s Academy. I am excited to contribute to GWI's mission because I did not get where I am today without the guidance and leadership of mentors along the way.”
She added about the connection to Kenvue, “Health and well-being is paramount to performing well -- it is not just grades. It is the capabilities GWI is instilling that will help women go further, faster, better.”
