2023 International Women’s Day Concert
A Future Where Every Girl Has The Chance to Lead.
The 3rd annual GWI International Women’s Day concert, presented by Citi, was a powerful celebration of female empowerment and leadership. Held on March 8th, 2023, at The Town Hall in New York City, the event brought together friends, family, and colleagues for an unforgettable night featuring performances from some of America’s most influential female artists. More than just a concert, it was an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of under-resourced young women, transforming them into tomorrow's leaders.
The Advancing Equity honorees are selected each year to recognize contributions to advancing women and equal opportunity through innovation, policies, practices or philanthropic investments.
The 2023 Advancing Equity honorees are:
For Philanthropy: Amy France, Founder of the Luke & Meadow Foundation
For Business: Nikki Darden, Head of Brand Engagement & Global Integration at Citi
For Music: Valerie Simpson of the legendary Motown duo Ashford & Simpson -- Rated 20 Greatest Duos of All Time (Rolling Stone), Songwriters Hall of Fame, and composer of such #1 hits for Diana Ross, Chaka Khan and others including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing, Solid As a Rock and I’m Every Woman.
